well, hello there. hope your labor day weekend was terrifically ab-fab.

the Cure Tribute I mentioned in a previous post is available for pre-order now here. the song we did, "Sugar Girl" is currently on the myspace player on that page if you wanna check it out. it will be released October 28th (yeah, totally to coincide with Halloween...) and proceeds go to great charity Invisible Children.

played a show last week at Hotel Cafe that was mucho fun. a random drunk dude got up and sang with us on one of the new songs -- he was pretty damn good, actually. you're welcome to join us again, drunky! the trivia prize giveaway this time was this lovely toast wallet. i had bought it for myself online not realizing it was "actual size" and wouldn't fit into my back pocket where daddy likes to keep his valuables...

still slugging away slowly but surely on the new record. it's been fun and good to be back at it.

i've now aided in moving 3 different pianos this week. yes, three. my back is sore. and yes, there are such folks who do such a thing professionally. why we didn't hire them, i have no idea... but i can't complain, my friend was sweet enough to give me one of them and i love it...

so, the seattle show was a lot of fun. people were really geared up to see Goodness and they delivered a pretty rocking set. really nice folks, as well.

good to be in portland and see the fam. i went golfing with my mom the other day. it's nice to check back in with a sport every once in a while just to make sure that you still suck. it was confirmed that i still very much do.

tomorrow night an old song from the first ep called "Braddock" will be on the show "Secret Life of the American Teenager". They used "11/22" a few weeks ago as well. i have failed to watch it, but i shall soon. all i know is Molly Ringwald is on it, and that's good enough for me. speaking of which, i re-watched "16 Candles" for the millionth time not long ago and i tell ya, it still holds up. i love a lot of the little details, like how the gong noise sounds in the background every time Long Duck Dong's name is even slightly mentioned. brilliance...

also tomorrow, the 19th, the "Accidental Rhythm" compilation that "Salt Point" is on will hit the stores. or, in clearer language, the joint be dropping yo. there's some funky cool stuff on it. you can also find it at Urban Outfitters, Target, and the like...

anyway, recording resuming this week. gotta get my ass in gear.

hey kids!

first of all, don't look at me that way. oh, you know the way. the "seriously? you haven't blogged in over two months?" way. well, you'd be right to do so, but please don't anyway.

truth is, the shizzle has been bizzle! you're right again, though. there's really no excuse.

the UK trip was a complete and utter blast. i plan to go back rather soon-like in fact. not sure exactly when, but you can bet i will... the crowds were really cool and sweet and the venues were really dope: old churches, etc. i got to do some fun BBC interviews and it was fun to spread my jack-ass interview skills on stations overseas. i did a bit of driving and am still rather surprised i didn't harm anyone (that i'm aware of)... we traveled constantly the first two weeks and were able to kick it in London a bunch the third week. i took this pic from the apartment we were staying in:

rested up a bit when i got back and then we recorded the song for the Cure Tribute record. it will be released October 28th on Manimal.

after the Cure was finished, we finally entered the studio the second week of July to start recording our sophomore slump record. we hope to have it finished in the october/november and have it released in the spring. i plan to document a bit of the recording and to make it into a short little "making of" video at the end. i also plan to make it not as boring as a "making of" sounds...

speaking of video, i filmed a video with my friend AM last night. it's for a song i sang with him on his duets record i mentioned in a previous post. it was pretty fun. the video is a bit serious in tone though, so i can assure you none of my goofy-ass ideas came even close to making it. i'll let you know when it is done and on the web (unless of course i look like an even bigger dick than i felt i looked like in the video, in which case you're on your own!)...

heading to seattle this weekend to open for '90s super group Goodness' reunion show at the Showbox. should be a ton of fun.

comp a feel

this came out yesterday:

it's a new comp put out by Invisible DJ Records and Jason Eldredge from local station KCRW (his show, coincidentally, is called "Accidental Rhythm"...). "Salt Point" is on it, as well as a bunch of songs by some other musical outfits. it's just a digital release for now, but has an actual release on August 15 (will be in a lot of retail outlets like Urban Outfitters, etc.). you can check it out here and it will take ya to itunes. i haven't listened to it yet, but you can bet i will...

also, we're going to record a song for a Cure tribute record that's coming out in the fall:

there's some cool bands on it (blonde redhead, cocorosie, bat for lashes, army navy, etc.) and it should be fun. by the time i got my hesitant ass around to picking a song, pretty much everything had already been picked. the fella producing it asked us to pick something pretty obscure to help balance all the hits, so we did. there's an old b-side gem i love called "Sugar Girl" and i think we're gonna give that one a whirl. it was the b-side to "Just Like Heaven". here's a link to the original that someone put on youtube (complete with the obligatory cheesy slideshow visual aid -- check out the second photo with the mid-riff pirate dude on the far left side of the pic)... it's one of those songs with good, simple lyrics (however minimal) and a completely linear musical structure that might be fun to mess with (ie "ruin") a little, so let us at it! keep you posted...

hi! hope everyone is great.

it's been a nice couple o' weeks since i got back. we played a show at the Hotel last week, which was fun. i've been workin' on some tune-ages and hangin' with the local faces that i love. it's been getting pretty hot here already. it always feels too early when it heats up in april, just knowing what the summer may bring...

next week i leave for the uk for close to a month. can't believe it's already next week. i'm really looking forward to it. i'm going to be opening up for my friend Ben Ottewell most of the shows, and then a handful of other shows with some other folks as well. Ben's pretty remarkable. and live, even more so. his voice is deep, raspy, powerful, and earnest. he sings in a band called Gomez who, if you don't happen to know them, you must chickity-check them out. plus, he's a great fella and hilarious, so i know a blast will be had. it's a solo tour, so i'll miss the other kids, but luckily Will is going to join me about halfway through for some duo-styling's, which will (pun fully intended) be great. plus, my grand pal meghan will be tour managing and traveling with me: that's pretty much going to seal the deal on the good times. i've been long overdue for a visit to the uk, so it will be great to see friends, eat cheese n' pickle sandwiches, etc.

the lovely folks over at Buzznet have been nice enough to set up a profile page for us on their site. they are even nicer to give me a fancy phone to use while abroad. i will post video blogs with said phone on my buzznet page while in the uk and document the travels. so, you'll have to check in daily and laugh at me as i give awkward updates and hopefully get some good shenanigans on vid. i'll post the link once they make the page and they send me the link. as you know, i can be a little lax on the blog updates, but i gave buzznet my word and i shall do my best to honor it. i'm gonna do it, dammit. thanks buzznet!

also, there's a new-ish, kick ass music (and beyond) magazine called Death and Taxes. have you heard of it? if not, you should totally acquaint yourself. i'm a proud subscriber. the new issue is out at a newsstand, record store, book store near you. they were sweet enough to do a small on feature on lil' yours truly in the current issue. it's always hard for me to read or hear interviews i've done and i usually successfully avoid doing so. i always think i sound like such a boob, and usually i'm right... anyway, michael stipe is on the cover. i can't tell if i'm either just completely used to the way he looks now (once shaved head phase began 15 years ago) or if he's been looking better with a little age on him these days. thoughts?

anyhoo, i should shuffle off to the day ahead.

rocky mountain hi

hey kiddies! at the denver airport right now. i've been here for 5 hours and my phone is dead, so thought i'd blog it up. four of us arrived hoping to get earlier flights and i'm the lone wolf who didn't make it. my original flight has been delayed, so i surrendered and am now just kickin' it at the airport bar. i dig airport bars -- every stripe is represented. the fella next to me is on his phone and thus far i've counted him repeat the phrase "no can do" 5 times. i've promised myself i will leave the bar when he gets to his eighth repetition...

the last week has been a major blast. the shows with A Fine Frenzy were super fun, the crowds were great, and a fine frenzy were the sweetest people in the world. Alison and i tried writing a song on the bus and i think it has potential. hopefully we'll finish it up when we're both back in LA. the ride from denver to salt lake was really beautiful. i passed out in my bunk watching a documentary called "The King Of Kong: A Fistful Of Quarters" and woke up blinded by the prettiness of the mountains. By the way, if you haven't seen the aforementioned film, i highly recommend thee giving it a viewing. it chronicles the world record holder of "Donkey Kong" and his challenger and it is quite humorous.

The weekend was fun as always in Vail. was a bit chilly and snowed the majority of the time, but if it's not snowing there it almost doesn't seem like right. got to see a lot of the folks i've met there over the last couple of years and hang with some of my favorite friends from LA. the shows were fun and the locations really cool. grand times indeed...

of course, i'm always anxious to return home. playing at zoey's on wednesday (just me and Uncle Fil), which will be fun. Sally Jaye is playing as well, and she rules hardcore and is just the best hang. we're playing with a band i dig a lot called Georgie James on the 16th at Hotel Cafe and i'm looking forward to seeing them. I recommend checking them out if you have a sec.

Well, I best finish off the weird beer i'm consuming and head to my gate. hope everyone has had a fine week as well and that april is certainly not your "cruelest month".

ok, so far too often when i've been a delinquent blogger i start the entry with some sort of apology or excuse for not writing more. well, i won't this time. you're sick of reading it and i'm sick of writing it. but for the record: a) sorry and b) my goldfish died...

things are good. i'm taking off shortly for a week. i'm opening solo for a pop outfit called A Fine Frenzy. I don't know them personally, but Alison (of that band) wrote me quite possibly the sweetest email ever on myspace last year and we exchanged a few emails. i look forward to finally meeting her and hanging out. I'm playing with them in denver and salt lake before heading to Vail to play a few shows at the film festival there with the kids from the Hotel Cafe. This will be the third time i've played the vail fest and it's quite possibly my favorite musical weekend of the year. the shows are generally in the afternoon and then you just go to good dinners and hit the town with your pals. super chillaxin'.

A friend had his annual birthday bash this week at The Echo. this is the third or fourth year that he's done this and each one is a night of people playing Prince songs and all the proceeds go to the AIDS Foundation. I did a fucked version of Little Red Corvette. It's also a Prince-themed costume party, so you had various people running around in 80's outfits and somewhat resembling members of The Revolution. i felt like i was on the set of "200 Cigarettes". i found a glorious way-too-tight purpley-blue jacket with gold sequins and some gold gloves at a thrift store. the sequins reflected even the slightest trace of light, so i was a human disco ball for most of the eve. i'll post a pic when i get one. it was fun and Har Mar Superstar brought the house down.

One of my oldest and dearest of friends, Greg Behrendt (with whom I'm in a "metal band for kids" with called Black Rattle. what title do you like better for the possible name of our EP: "The Tryanny of Recess" or "Anarchy In The Pre-K"?), has formed himself a kick-ass surf band called The Reigning Monarchs. They played at Largo a couple of weeks ago and greg asked me to play a few solo numbers. The legendary Jon Brion joined me on piano for a both creepy and pretty version of ZZTop's "Legs" that I've been known to play on occasion, which was a thrill. it's hard to sing those lyrics with a straight face (the second verse goes: "she's got hair down to her fanny. she's kinda jet set, try undo her panties". no joke. hilarious.). then Greg's band got up and we did a cover of "Here Comes a Regular" by The Replacements (one of my favorite songs ever).

well, i should stop procrastinating and do some packin'. hope everyone is easy like sunday evening and doing well.

i never cease to have a good time in san francisco. despite the endless buckets of rain falling this past weekend, even larger buckets of fun were had. the show was a blast. we're heading back up on March 1st for Noise Pop and i'm looking forward to it already. also, we have some amazing friends up there who threw the sweetest party ever after we played. my only complaint about the trip was that the hotel pool was, unfortunately, loosed:

Will, Percy, and myself did an interview with Dennis The Menace, who has a show called "Just Another Menace Sunday" on 90.3 KUSF in San Francisco. Dennis is great. really interesting guy and has done all kinds of cool interviews over the years. his show airs live on sundays from 4 to 6pm in San Fran and online, plus he archives all the shows on his site. the show we did with him airs this sunday.

the residency show this past wednesday was super fun again. i've really been loving it. the crowds have been great and i'll be a little bummed when it comes to a close. the weekly trivia prize this week (see post from last week for an explanation) were these:
two backstage passes for Gloria Estefan's 1991 "Into The Light Tour" and Celine's "Falling Into You Around The World" tour. i ain't saying where i got them...

anyway, only two shows left. really looking forward to this week with Peter Moren (of Peter Bjorn & John fame) and The Rescues.

we taped an in-studio performance/interview today for an internet tv show called "Distortion". they will post the show online in a few days on VlazeTV. I will let ya know when it's up n' running.

well, that's about it for now. i'm pretty tuckered but just wanted to check in before i'm off to sleepyville.

I'm not much of a New Year's Resolution type of feller. I usually create resolutions at random times of the year when change feels necessary, not so much when the calendar suggests. However, i made a few this year to spite myself and one small resolution was to blog more. It's January 18th so i guess i'm off to a nice, shitty start...

hope everyone has been 200gr8 thus far this year. so far all has been grand on my end. had a great time over the holidays in Portland seeing la familia and friends. It's been good to be back though.

we're playing every wednesday this month at Hotel Cafe and the first two have been a blast. three more to go. they've been tons o' fun and great for trying out new stuff. I've been giving away different ridiculous items at each show that have been cluttering up my apartment, so it's helping me get a little cleaner as well. so far, whoever wins (answers the trivia correctly) has seemed genuinely excited and then they appear to be rather disappointed when they receive their prize. personally, i'd be pumped to win a box of "variety meat pencil toppers", but apparently i stand alone...

the prize this week is gonna be pretty rad. if i revealed what the prize was ahead of time, no one would probably play along, so i shant. this wednesday's show we will be playing with a couple o' good pals Meiko and Waz (who is doing his record release). Waz, Brian Wright and The Waco Tragedies, and ourselves are going to head to san francisco to play at Hotel Utah this Friday, the 25th. Evidently, for the month of january, we decided to play at places with "Hotel" in the title exclusively. san francisco is always super fun. thinking about heading up a day early.

Holly Conlan (the same Holly who is in our band and is also quite the ruling songwriter) is doing her cd release show Tuesday at the Hotel. you should totally go. totally and completely.

i'm watching a movie on the sci-fi channel right now called "Mansquito". It totally sucks, but any movie with a title that great earns my viewership, no matter how terrible it may be. I've bought records by bands based solely on their name on numerous occasions ("me first and the gimme gimmes", "japancakes", etc.). i usually wind up not liking the music all that much though.

Anyway, I hope wherever you are this finds you well. perhaps you're watching this movie too and are diggin' on Mansquito more than me.

i had my first kiss when i was in the sixth grade. her name was Kristin Jay. we snuck back behind the portable classrooms at the elementary school we attended and, both nervous beyond words, exchanged the most awkwardly innocent, peck-on-the-lips kiss one might give their grandmother. still, it was a first kiss, and so it was quite an exhilarating moment i hadn't before experienced. when school let out that day, kristin's dad came up to me and said "hey, big man, congratulations!" and shook my hand. evidently, kristin had shared the news with him. i thought his reaction was a little creepy at the time, but looking back, i think he just thought it was cute. however, he decided to share the "good news" with my mom, who had a different reaction. As soon as i joyfully hopped into her toyota wagon, i was informed i was grounded and told that i was far too young to be engaging in such activities.

my mom rarely listened to music and putting the radio on in the car was even more rare. however, on this day, she decided to try and kill the silence with a little FM distraction. as we drove home and i contemplated how my feelings went from an absolute high to pure shit within minutes, i remember "Levon" by Elton John was playing. my sister had it on record, so when i got home, i played it again. i always remember kristin and our secret, silly romance that ensued for a whole month afterward whenever i hear "Levon".

which brings to my point: i was rather blown away the other day when i was asked to be part of an Elton John tribute night at Carnegie Hall in October. Carnegie Hall? weeeird and awesome! i still haven't decided what i'm going to play ("Levon" is among the final choices), but i've been listening to him non-stop. my friend suggested i do a mash-up medley entitled "the bitch is back, but i'm still standing on a candle in the wind". i will keep you informed.

anyway, i'm super excited about it and realize that Carnegie Hall will most likely happen only once, so keep your fingers crossed that i don't royally fuck it up.

Hey everyone! Hope you've been well.

i'm the worst blogger in the GD world. one day, i shall be organized and on top of it. you'll see...

things have been good. it's hot as a mofo here in LA and i've just about had it. i changed my shirt three times today -- yeah, pretty gross. think i've set a personal record for popsicles and Otter Pops consumed in a four-day period, plus i made coke ice cubes yesterday that were oh-so deeelish. so far, i've counted people saying "hot enough for ya?" eight times. i have a wager with a friend that i will hear a total of fifteen before the heat wave is over. it's one of those bets that i kind of hope i lose...

august was a splendid one. the new york shows were tons o' fun. went with a bunch of friends and the festival in the catskills was quite a time. It was beautiful up there and we stayed in a great old house nearby another house rumored to be haunted. i watched a few of the braver souls venture inside one night while i sipped a yoo-hoo and ate cheese, which is indeed how daddy rolls. We returned to the city on sunday and played the next two nights to some really great crowds. lots of friends i hadn't seen in a while came out, which alone made the trip worth it. i never go to new york without having a blast and look forward to returning in october.

when i got back, i played a couple solo numbers before Hanson at the Hotel. I'm pretty blown away by what great musicians they have all become. and, they were all incredibly nice and i got to sing on a beatles song with them. then, about ten days ago, they called me and invited me to be a guest on a radio show they were doing. it was kind of strange just sitting in a room with Hanson, playing them my songs. i kept my eyes shut a lot of the time, for when i opened them and saw that my sole audience was Hanson, it was a little nerve-wracking. However, that went away after a bit and i had a really good time. just very genuine, down-to-earth good dudes.

Speaking of good people, Samantha Murphy had me on her show SMTV a couple weeks ago. She and Mike were really great and you should check out her show. You can listen to the one i did on her website or download her podcast on itunes (just type SMTV in the itunes search engine and download away for free!).

also, we went to san fran last week and played at a place called the Make-Out Room. again, lots of pals came out and it was Good Timesville. wish i would have had more time to shop, as it's mos def one of my fave shopping cities. from there, i shuffled up to portland for a few days to see the fam which was lovely.

i'm now glad to be back in LA, mostly just because returning to your own bed is often just the greatest thing in the world.

we start our residency at Bordello this Wednesday, which i'm really looking forward to. hope to see your sweet-ass faces if you're in the area.

anyhoooo, i do hope everyone is beyond swell and you're having a labor-free labor day weekend.

Our record finally came out yesterday. yay! it's only on itunes at the moment. you can chickity check it >here. the folks at itunes were kind enough to put it in their "indie spotlight" section on the itunes homepage. sweet of them.

Things have been good. the show at silverlake lounge a couple o' weeks ago was a blast. And percy and i had a grand time at the Hotel Cafe show last week as well, although some so-called "friends" belittled my attire with sweet comments like "hey Lucifer" and "where's The News?", which i'm guessing was some short of potshot at my outfit seeming Huey Lewis-esque. suppose the fuckers were right though:

spent some time in portland last week seein' the fam. was great. and i enjoyed myself thoroughly at a kindergarten play i attended:

We're still figuring tour plans and all that stuff for later in the summer/early fall. in the meantime, i'm going to go back to play at the first annual HotelFest, Hotel Cafe's all-day festival in New York (Catskills area) on August 4th. The Hotel shows are always tons of fun, as it's always fun to hang out with the same friends you always hang out with, but in another location. i don't know why that is exactly, but it is.

anyway, i hope it isn't too hot where you are. it's definitely summer here and i'm loving it. i've just been living in my cut-off jean shorts and a tank top. not really.

my neighbor has a sign in her yard, every inch of which is covered in red, white, blue, and even a massive, tacky eagle-ish looking thing thrown in for good measure. "Happy Memorial Day!!" is stenciled enormously (the last few letters written in a much smaller script so as not to cramp the gloriousness that is the eagle)... the choice of "happy" when bidding someone a fine memorial day always amuses me, but i hope it is indeed a happy day for everyone.

just the same, it's been a weekend of fun bbq's and overall social good times. heading to one more in a bit and then a bunch of us are descending upon The Echo in LA to see Knifeyhead play (a "hey, mind if we kick your fuckin' ass?" power trio that consists of roughly half of our band -- not me though (a wise choice), save for my occasional stage dancing). Bodies of Water will also be rocking it and then i have a sneaky suspicion the inevitable trip to the beloved Short Stop will follow.

Week's been good. The solo thang at the Hotel on monday was a fun one and wednesday we had a blast playing at Bordello. Great Northern and Sara Lov were both off da hook, as predicted. I always enjoy watching videos of our shows just so i can see what everyone is doing behind me. below is a video that, if you ignore me and squint, you can see the gloriousness that is Michael Jerome (drums). Michael is one of my favorite drummers in the world and one of my favoritest people in general. He and I are currently concocting a bad utube show idea that involves us being obnoxious at parties. not much of a stretch. anyway, the sound quality blows, but check him out anyway:

Also, there's a groovy little industry blog called the daily chorus. they were nice enough to pick us as the featured unsigned band. you can vote for us there too -- would be awfully sweet if you did. thanks!

so we finally got the website up today. we will keep adding to it. thanks to uncle fil for putting the time in to make it nice n' easy to use (especially for those of us who have a harder time with such things as others).

i haven't posted many blogs yet, but now that it's public i shall get more regular with it.

things have been good. we played a couple of shows last weekend and they were super fun. Uncle Fil stretched it out at Hotel Cafe:
Sunday we played a Mother's Day benefit show at The Mayan and twas good times.
this past friday night i filled in for Meiko down in the OC at her monthly residency at the Gypsy Den. Holly and The Brendan Hines came with me and each played a set as well. They tore it up. and Phat Albert came and sat in with all of us. good times. we tried to take a cliche band shot in front of a brick wall:

tonight i'm playing solo at the soles4souls benefit at the Hotel. And Wednesday we'll be playing at Bordello in downtown LA. Bordello is a dope place and we're playing with Sara Lov and Great Northern (who both just happen to kick ass).

The artwork is here, the artwork is here! Indeed, this is the cover art for the record (you can click on it to enlarge it a bit). It was done by artist PCP. He's super talented, incredibly nice, and I've been a fan of his for a while now. I have a couple of his things on my walls, so I just about fell over when we wrote him and he agreed to do it. I wrote him an email sketching the overall sentiment of the record and a month later he sent us the above. I'm not ashamed to tell you that my eyes watered heavily. I hope you dig it, too.

Yo. Hope everyone is having a fantabulous day. It's a hot one here. and the coffee i'm drinking ain't helping.
Meiko, Uncle Fil and i drove down to Santa Ana the other night to play at a place called the Gypsy Den. Had never been to that part of the OC and we had a swell time. Meiko was hungover: the venue was right on the corner of a small arts district and i kinda dug the vibe. haven't played an all ages place in a while and it was nice to do so. we played a bunch of the usual suspects, a couple of new ones, plus a lemonheads song ("confetti"). it was good times and fil was playing it cool:

some things i've been diggin' on this week:
Burt Reynold's Dodgeball Open -- i was pissed at myself for missing this. next year, count me in as an attendee (unless i put some serious work into my game). Dear Burt Reynold's Dodgeball Open, you had me at "mustache required".
The Saturday Knights -- been waking up to their old-school sounding jam "45" the last couple of mornings.
The Parson Red Heads -- good guys wear white.
Winter Passing -- pleasantly surprised how much i dug this movie. and the soundtrack rules.
Let's Be friends -- i wish this blog was updated more often and you could have a daily dose of cute. however, the OG cute blog cute overload is still going strong.
Said The Gramaphone -- i've been checking in on this guy's blog for a while. he's all over the place in a good way and i've found a lot of sweet phunky phresh trax through him. check it.
Sea Level -- i love this vinyl store in LA. support, support. also, Equator Vinyl (of Equator Books fame) has opened and looks promising.

hey kids! thanks for stopping by. we are in the process of giving the website a facelift. well, Uncle Fil is in the process. i just stand over his shoulder, sigh of boredom, and draw occasionally. thanks for the patience as we set it all up. hope you like it!

things are good. we played a pretty unusual show last night at Hotel Cafe here in LA. Tom Morello (of Rage fame) has been doing a tuesday night residency there and we played this one as well. Almost three years ago now, i played a few open-mics under the name "Buddy Pigtails" with my friend Amiira and a few other friends before I played an actual show on my own, long before the band was assembled. Tom was one of the friends and he was playing his solo stuff for the first time under his "Nightwatchman" name. He's a super nice guy and offered a lot of encouraging words to me at a time when I was finding it easier to wimp out. anyway, at his Hotel Cafe shows he basically kicks out a few of his folky Woodie Guthrie-esque political jams and brings up a bunch of his friends. last night's line-up was Alanis Morrissette (yeah, she did "my humps"), Ben Harper, Motley Crue sans Vince, Alice in Chains, and Cypress Hill -- my hands down favorite of the eve:
and us. yeah, it was fucked up. at first, when i got there and saw 200 Rage fans lined-up outside, i thought it was gonna be a bummer. turned out i was wrong and it was a ton of fun. one for le books.
and percy had on a kickass outfit:

anyway, it is late and time for my ass to finish watching "Grey Gardens" before my head meets the pillow.
